Distribute books to Little Free Libraries near you

This is Michael MCClain, Team LFL volunteer. I enjoy participating with the Little Free Library volunteerism Distribute books to LFL’s near me category. I recently rode public transportation to the Frank Deluca YMCA located at 3200 SE 17th ST Ocala, FL 34471. The LFL located there is Charter# 47408. I distributed books that I collected by purchasing a Book Bundle of Elementary to Young Adult Books from the LFL website. I also purchased books from the Target and Barnes & Noble stores located in Ocala, FL. The five books that I distributed this week were:

1. “National Geographic Kids: Little Kids First Big Book of Animals”

2. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Meltdown”

3. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hot Mess”

4. “Dork diaries: Tales from a Not So Fabulous Life”

5. “”Anne of the Green Gables”

The Little Free Library located at this YMCA is a Girl Scout Silver Award Project that is intended to improve literacy in Marion County, FL. The things I enjoyed most about this volunteer opportunity was the ability to build community simply by sharing books with other members of the community. This was approximately my 46th visit to this LFL box. When I visited the box this week to restock it the leaky roof had been repaired and the box was organized and clean.

This volunteer opportunity lasted 3.5 hours.
