As the seasons change, I am reminded of the cozy pursuits I love so much- curling up in a blanket & reading on a rainy morning with a cup of tea, baking, crochet, and a new thriller. It would be cool if all the volunteers could post their favorite scary book or ghost story.

Times are so crazy right now. Book bans are at an all-time high, and I feel proud to do work to combat that. It's literally insane, how many titles are now banned, for such awful and hateful reasons. Books and writing/art saved my life, and I want to help others along that path. Thinking about joining a book club (or starting one!) focusing on banned titles. This attack on our rights has also inspired me to apply for jobs at our local libraries! Also, I've been working on some stories and novels for a while and I'm the only one who has read the majority of my work. Everything that is happening right now is inspiring to me. I want to explore getting an agent for my books and trying to publish some shorter pieces. I'd love to connect to local activists who are working to stop censorship and fight book bans.
