Help Clean & Prep Books for Little Free Library Distribution

Transform discarded and donated library books to prepare them for distribution to Little Free Libraries in Central New York. By removing wrapping and stickers, you’ll make these books even more appealing for readers visiting Little Free Libraries.

Responsibilities:

• Attend one of the Team LFL CNY monthly gatherings to learn how to clean and prepare books
• Pick up a bag or box of books from the Team LFL Central New York chapter leader
• Remove the library wrapping and stickers and clean the books
• Return the books to the Team LFL CNY chapter leader

Time Required: It takes about 1.5 - 2 hours to prep and clean one bag of books.

Training & Resources Available: Volunteers from Team LFL CNY will train you on the book cleaning process during one of the monthly group meetups. Books and cleaning supplies will be provided. 

Qualifications:

• Able to attend a Team LFL CNY monthly gathering and learn the process of cleaning and preparing books
• Have access to transportation to pick up and drop off the books

Support: Volunteer leaders from Team LFL CNY will teach you how to clean and prepare the books and guide you through the process of picking up and dropping off books.
